Wow...such miserable negative comments! I bought The Fire for my daughter while she was in the hospital. It's the first time she has EVER been excited about reading. She's read all the other young adult books out there and have declared them to be a load of bunk...oh well to each his own I suppose.

I have all 4 books to this set, sad thing is where do they fit together?????I read The Witch and the Wizard, then read The Gift I have the comic book versions of Fight for Shadowland and comic book version of Operation Zero.How in the world do you put these in order???And is there a book I'm missing,because the last I read Misty and Whit were saved from hanging and they were seperated, CAN ANYONE HELP ME????

I have to give this 1 star only because it is James Patterson. I barely made it thru the first book and I couldn't finish The Gift, I am done with this series and gave both books to a friend. Patterson, stay with what you do best ~ Cross and Boxer ~ leave the wizarding to JK.

I am one that has a hard time finishing a book, or even getting past the first few pages if it does not hold my attention. While this book is not the type I usually read I found that I could not put it down. I even took it to work with me, in the car, anywhere I might find a moment to read some more. It was one of the best books of this type I have ever read and I couldn't wait for the sequal to come out, which did in December, 2010, The Gift...I am reading that now. Highly recommended!
