Thank the Heavens that Todd is following his Mother's footsteps
February 12, 2012

Anne could never write a bad book in my eyes, and I am thrilled her son as fallen into a very large pair of shoes that I feared would be impossible to fill. With the passing of Anne, my heart broke. Thank you Todd for taking over the love of dragons your mom had and giving them your own touch, yet not losing sight of your mother's talent of writing and drawing dragon lovers into a world so real to us. I've read all the dragon books Todd as put out and will continue to read his works as it will help me not forget Anne's world of Pern. Keep up the good work Todd.

McCaffreys re-write
April 22, 2010

Dragonheart by Todd is basically a re-write of Dragonsblood by his Mother Anne, I loved the Dragon Singer Trilology, and several others, I just think that two prespectives of one event on the planet and several of the characters being in both books doing the same thing? well... enough about that, even though they are very similar, The son can grab and hold your attention like the mother, I would like to see new stories from Pern. maybe from the Dragons point of view on their riders?

Todd First Solo Work
July 31, 2008

It has more about Pern and its past history, I cryed when Sorka passed away, right around the own death of my gradma. Its very good. Now we find more about Wind Blossom and how the dragon and their riders cope with the new Pass of Thread.

alot going on in a quick read
July 07, 2008

over all I enjoyed the book. going in and doing two time lines at the same time had to be challenging at best. I always feel bad when a dragon loses a rider but when it was reversed and the rider is left behind and so many of them. I too had a hard time with the ending. I read it three times and I still can't get the flow of it. But I would still recommend the book and then want to discuss the ending. Trouble with time Byron

I liked this book
September 18, 2007

I really liked this book, but I found the last couple of chapters difficult to read. Felt like the ending was rushed and not as well written but it's still a good book
