In Witch & Wizard, the first book in James Patterson’s exciting new Family Pageturner series, 15-year-old Wisty and her older brother, Whit, have just had a rude awakening…literally. Torn from their beds by forces of the New Order, and thrown into a secret prison, the two teens try to fight their growing despair that began the day before, when Whit’s girlfriend, Celia, was spirited away in a black van. Then something extraordinary happens: Wisty and Whit suddenly develop strange powers they manage to control, somewhat awkwardly, to make their daring escape.
Now, this newly minted witch and wizard must master their considerable skills to save not only themselves, but those they love and, from the way things are looking, the world!

I was looking forward to reading this book due to the description. When I received this book I began reading it and was never so disappointed in my life. It was very difficult to read and found it completely boring. I understand that it was probably geared to younger readers but the author should have published a well written book and not this drivel. It was an insult to readers of all age. When I reached the end and found that it was a continuation I felt that I had been robbed. I usually buy the continuation of books but I have no desire to read anything further in this series and seriously doubt that I will read anything else by this author in the future.

I tried really had to like this book, but it was slow, and as interesting as the concept was it never lived up to any of its promise. I have no desire to read anymore. Sorry.
