The Magic Kingdom series, about a Chicago lawyer who buys a fantasy kingdom complete with wonders and worries, wove its irresistible spell through five novels between 1986 and 1995. Now, Terry Brooks returns to his bestselling universe with A Princess of Landover.
Getting kicked out of an exclusive prep school was mortifying enough. Now Mistaya’s dad, King Ben—determined to teach his headstrong daughter about responsibility—has sent her to restore Libiris, the kingdom’s long-forsaken royal library. Horrified by the task of salvaging a hoard of moldy books—and by the repulsive nobleman who seeks to marry her—the headstrong teen runs away…only to end up at Libiris, where she uncovers a magical plot that could spell the end of Landover.

This was another great book by Terry Brooks! A wonderful return to the Kingdom of Landover. It was great to see Mistaya outsmart, both "His emenence" Craswell Crabbit, and "The Frog". I loved the way Brooks ended the story, leaving us to wonder if Nightshade will return to wreak havock on Ben Holiday, and the Kingdom of Landover. I hope Brooks gets the next installation out soon.

Great fun from Terry. I enjoyed the story, and have enjoyed 'Magic Kindom For Sale/Sold' from the first opening sentence. Thank you for an excellent read.

Terrific book. I own all of Terry Brook's books (including "Hook") and as always the excitement is from beginning to end.

While the Landover series doesn't enthrall me like the Shannara or Word and the Void series, I find them very enjoyable in a more "fairy tale" kind of way. It's a very different series, and it's almost hard to believe they come from the same writer. The Landover novels would be a great way to introduce younger readers to the amazing world of Terry Brooks novels!
