For mind-reading barmaid Sookie Stackhouse, the day-to-day activities of the supernatural communities in and around Bon Temps, Louisiana, are of vital interest. She is blood-bound to the leader of the vampires, a friend to the local werewolf pack, works for a man who is a pure shapeshifter and has a younger brother who’s a werepanther.
