The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle (Graphic Novel)

Dresden Files fans! You’ve read the books, you’ve seen the TV show, now get the graphic novel experience! Written just for comics, Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle is an all-new Harry Dresden story, set before the first book, Storm Front (included in our exclusive 3-in-1 omnibus, This Wizard for Hire).

When the supernatural world spins out of control, and the police can’t handle the monsters in the streets, they call Harry Dresden, the only practicing wizard in the Chicago phone book. This time, a brutal mauling at the zoo has Harry sensing that there’s more at work than a simple animal attack. But as he hunts for clues, he finds himself being huntedby creatures that could render him little more than a stain!

Better than expected
July 19, 2010

I have read most of these books and even though this was somewhat of a lame plot, it did help to see how things got started with Harry. I would've preferred a little more background into how he became a wizard, but know it wasn't what the book was about. Overall, a good light read.

finally....
March 23, 2010

I was finally able to match the picture in my head with an image of Harry. It was short, making it a bit lighter on plot than the series of books, but that's to be expected. It was a good first step out of the box...one that will hopefully be repeated with greater success.

Godd, but not as good as the seies

The graphics were more or less typical of comic book graphics, but the plot was not as solid as those of the book series. As a short read, it was OK.

Great interpretation of the novels.

I thought it was a much better representation of the Dresden Files than even the show. Although the show was alright, I think that the comic brought the characters to life more true than TV did.
