Based on the hit television series created by Joss Whedon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8: Wolves at the Gate pits the Slayer legions—all 2,000 of them—against a powerful new foe.
When a sect of goth Japanese vampires who can shape-shift at will invade the Slayer fortress in northern Scotland, they not only get away unscathed, but take with them Buffy’s scythe, the age-old symbol of Slayer power. And what they’re planning to use it for spells trouble for all Slayers…and the world.
Buffy must stop them…but how can a Slayer fight vampires that can turn into wolves, panthers, bees or fog? Meanwhile, Xander journeys to Transylvania to solicit the only person they’ve ever known to possess such power—Dracula himself! Softcover.

I just thought it was great. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Just to see what Buffy faces next. Both in personal and evil catastrophies, seems as if she never really gets a break.

While SMG would probably like to forget BTVS, I'm definitely enjoying the comic continuation.
If you are a fan, you will love the comic. if you're interest is more casual, this may not hold your attention.
For me, I thought the artwork and story were very good to excellent. I do feel Whedon and Goddard are trying too hard at times, but for the most part, this is good stuff.
I won't touch on any specifics; I recommend it and suggest you read it for yourself.
