The Magician

The battle to protect the secret that could end the world as we know it wages on in the highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The Alchemyst! It seems as if a lifetime has passed since 15-year-old twins Sophie and Josh Newman learned that they were destined to save the human race from the Dark Elders. Never in their wildest dreams would the twins have believed that immortal humans, magicians, mythical beasts, gods, goddesses, even vampires were real, not to mention alive and well in modern-day California. But it’s true! Now that Sophie and Josh know that they are the world’s only hope for survival, will they turn on each other as they continue their magical training in Paris? (Ages 9-12)

I have been a fan of other "magical" books, and this one is right there, it keeps you on the edge of your chair, expecting and waiting for more. Michael Scott, you are among the great writers. Can't wait for the following sequel.

This is a continuation of the story of Pernelle and Nicholas Flammel - the ancient alchemist and his wife. This is not just for kids! If you like fantasy, history, magic, and a dose of realism, you will enjoy this series. Michael Scott keeps you reading with his 'grab your interest' style, and you end the book wanting more.
