I need another fix!
June 11, 2007

Excellent as usual! I give it 6 stars. Love the humor that is there. Ok Jim, I am ready for more! SFBC doesn't have your other series yet. Need more Dresdan, I have gobbled them all up! I loved the T V series even tho they had the girls cast backwards.. The girl that played Susan in the one should have been Murphy and the one playing Murphy should have been S.

One of the best!
May 31, 2007

Jim Butcher's Dresden series is simply great story-telling! An imperfect hero, wry humor and all, and supernatural bad guys - his novels have it all! Mystery, action, and magic. What more can you ask? I only hope I write half as well as he does! Collect them all - they're well worth it!

You Gotta Love Harry
May 20, 2007

Initially I thought Butcher's books were a hoaky "Night Stalker" story, but the online fan raves convinced me to try them. I was hooked at once. Butcher has created a believable world with mystical laws, and interesting, consistent characters. Dresden has gotten harder from dealing with netherworld creatures and the undead, but holds onto his principles. And he's always willing to help a lady in distress. That's what he does in these stories, and gains an apprentice in the process. You begin to get a look inside the Wizard's Council, but what motivates the members remains unclear. Each new story sheds more light on Harry's world, and you just know the next story will be as good as the last.

Dresden Files
May 13, 2007

I agree w/Maryanne, this series is the best, it's light-hearted, yet deadly, funny and serious at the same time. Harry is the wizard I would be if I had that kind of power. Rock on Jim! You rule! Cheers! :D pcwiz...

Dresden Files are Great!
May 11, 2007

I have read all 9 of the Dresden file books and have grown to know these characters as well as my own family. Especially his dog Mouse - I love dogs! His brother the white vampire - and his friend Bob the Skull. TV series didn't do him justice!!!
