So far i've really enjoyed the character Anita Blake. I'm half way through the second book and i hate to put it down. I can't wait to find where the author takes these charactors.

Laurell K In a Class of Her Own

She can do very little wrong in my book and though I read later books before starting at the beginning of the series I still enjoyed every single page. Her characters are dynamic and surprising and the level of emotion and intrigue on top of the politics of the preternatural world make this a multi-layered and awesome series and as good from the first book to the sixteenth.

I was looking for a vampire series that was grittier than Twilight and this series is definately it! I love the characters - Anita Blake is a conflicted but tough young woman, Jean Claude is the ultimate vampire (don't understand why Anita is so conflicted!) and Richard is somewhat human and loyal. I love vampires and Hamilton's vampires do not disappoint!! Definately worth reading!!

I'm hooked

Some of the best vampire fiction I have ever read. Laurell K. Hamilton makes her world so believable that I just want to join her there...well, her and Jean-Claude. Amazing piece of work. Can't wait to read all of the Anita Blake series.
