He was known by many names, and each added its own weight to the burden of Prophecy: Car'a'carn, Coramoor, the Dragon Reborn. But to Min he was Rand al' Thor, the man she would kill for, or die for. As the Wheel of Time carried him closer to his destiny, she was one of the few who still dared speak to him plainly. No matter how he tried to protect her from the truth, she demanded honesty. "What are you planning?...I have a right to know if I'm traveling with you...." As if she had not insisted on traveling with him. "I'm going to cleanse the male half of the Source" he said in a flat voice. A momentous announcement. A grand scheme... With unimaginable consequences, whether it succeeded or failed.
Aes Sedai were divided by far more than Ajah. Some sought to help the Dragon Reborn; others to control him, or destroy him--and no Sister could be sure of another's loyalty. For there were Darkfriends in Tar Valon...
In Andor, Elayne Trakand moved through the palace with the air of a Queen, but had not yet claimed the Lion Throne. Instead, she boldly raised the stakes in the treacherous Game of Houses--testing both allies and enemies...
Among Perrin Aybara's followers, mistrust tempered common cause, and none knew how the scales would tip if he accomplished the task Rand had set him. Perrin didn't want to hold the fate of nations in his hands; he was too worried about the fate of his beloved wife...
Meanwhile, trapped in Seanchan-held Ebou Dar, Mat Cauthon planned a daring escape. But it was complicated by the needs of desperate women and his own date with destiny: the arrival of the Daughter of the Nine Moons.... Jacket art by Darrell K. Sweet. (543 pp.)

Now, I can see where other fans have commented on the slowing down in this series. This book was a bit a chore to get through-Yet it was a fast read?? Didnt make sense to me either, but Im glad Im finished with it. Good News!, book #10 starts off much better :)

All of his books, both thick and thin of plot, will be read for many years to come, and this was one of my favorites.
Will he be shadow written? Time will tell.

Robert Jordan has totally lost track of where this story was ever going. He continues to spin out 600+ page books with 50 pages of content. Then he has to nerve to start a prequel before finishing the original story line. Boycott his books. Read somebody interesting like Terry Goodkind. Robert Jordan is clearly only writing for the money at this point! His readers need to send him the message.
