Much ado about nothing

I am a huge fan of the late great Robert Jordan, but this book went nowhere-I had to fight to keep reading the last 20 pages and afterwards, I was left with "who cares?" Hopefully book 11 is better :(

RIP
September 18, 2007

Yesterday I read in the local newspaper that Robert Jordan died. We all have lost another great writer and are left to only speculate what future books/stories died with him. Rest In Peace Robert Jordan.

A Masterpiece
August 24, 2007

This book is much better than many of the reviews suggest. Everything is building up to the last battle, and this is book is painting the scenery. This might not please some R.A. Salvatore fans (which I'm one) ... because it's not all hack and slash action. It's much deeper than that. Read it, then read Knife of Dreams and you'll see where everything is going. A great book & series!

SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTING
November 26, 2006

I've read all the WoT books and have enjoyed them all save the last. It does seem that RJ is getting bogged down in an overflow of characters and material. I usually enjoy a litte backstory but there are so many characters now with histories and alliances that I'm going to have to keep a scorecard to track the players. The hints of just who is a Forsaken resurrected or otherwise and the politics are simply getting ridiculous. Get back to the central storyline and characters please....

DIE ALREADY

I am not going to buy any more of this series. He will only keep writing them if we keep reading them.
