Joss Whedon’s smash-hit graphic novel, Angel: After the Fall—the official continuation series—picked up the action of the hit TV show months after that fateful alleyway scene. But how did Spike, Connor, Lorne, Wesley, Kate, Gwen, Gunn and other characters deal with their very first night in hell? In short vignettes, this second hardcover collection—plotted by Whedon and Brian Lynch and scripted by Lynch—tells how Angel’s cohorts reacted to their plight. How did they survive? Why did the team go their separate ways? And how did Connor rise up to become one of Hell’s greatest champions? Illustrated by a host of great talent, Angel: After the Fall: First Night fills you in on what happened the night Los Angeles went straight to hell.

I love all the books in the Angel series. The only flaw is there are small mistakes with the characters but unless you watched the show avidly they are easy to miss. As it I loved the show and I find these mistakes easy enough to look over and I think the books are definetly worth reading.

I happening to watch the show and this book explain what happen during the big battle that was in the final espiode. I was pleasantly surprise by the book because it explain what happening to Angel and the gang and what causes each member to going his or her own way.

Angel: After the Fall: First Night was a wonderful continuing of the Angel story. It really helps you understand what happenes between the end of the series and the After the Fall book. I really enjoyed the artwork. I do wish that they had went more in depth on some of the stories and maybe covered more of the characters, but understand that the storytellers only had so much room to tell their stories. Overall, I believe if you are an Angel fan, you will enjoy First Night and believe it is worth the price.
